Your Questions About Healthy Weight Loss Rate

Lisa asks…

What’s a healthy weight loss rate?

So far I’ve lost almost 25lbs over the last year and a half, but I haven’t really put myself on a structured or strict diet or workout routine. What is a healthy rate to lose weight if I want to lose weight faster and still keep it off?

admin answers:

About 1-2 pounds per week is optimal. Aim for about a pound a week and you’ll do just fine. 🙂

A structured diet/regular exercise will help, so by all means try to regulate those.

Hope that helped!

Robert asks…

Safe and Healthy weight loss rate?

I know that if you lose weight too quickly, it’s probably gonna go back up pretty easily and fast and is most likely not really the fat that I am losing so.. what would be a pretty normal and healthy weight loss rate? 1 pound a week? 2 pounds?

admin answers:

2 pounds a week is a good average weight loss, depending from what weight you are starting from.
In the beginning of a diet you will lose more weight than in a week or two, unless you are constantly adjusting your exercise, activity and food intake. A lot of diets suggest a 4 to 5 pound loss in weeks one and two (per week) which then tapers down to a constant 1 to 2 pounds every week.

I hope this helps you.
